Having some time with your wedding photographer before the wedding is useful as it gives you chance to get used to the camera. It is important to feel comfortable and therefore look relaxed in the photos. The pre wedding shoot can be used for whatever you want but we prefer to use it as an opportunity to capture photos of you and your partner enjoying yourselves in a nice location or place that has meaning to you.

A post wedding shoot is a great opportunity for you to get your wedding suit and dress back on and go and have more photos done. On the wedding day there will be time for photos but often there are so many wonderful locations that it is impossible to make use of all of them in the limited amount of time available in the busy wedding schedule. Buy spending a few hours together the day after the wedding things are much more relaxed as you don't have to worry about guests and caterers and musicians etc. You will also be so relaxed and riding on cloud nine after a great wedding day and this will show in the photos. You can also decide to have your photos done in a different location such as the beach or another town.

If you were unfortunate enough to have bad weather on your wedding day you may want to consider putting your wedding gear back on a going and getting those shots you presumed you were going to get on the wedding day but didn't due to the bad weather.
